- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]» ).
- Remove the following parts: Front scuff plate (passenger-side) (See «FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION» ). Front side trim (passenger-side) (See «FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION» ). Dashboard under cover (See «DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION» ). Glove compartment (See «GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION» ). Decoration panel (See «DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION» ). Lower panel (passenger-side) (See «LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION» ).
- Disconnect the blower motor connector.
- Disconnect the air intake actuator connector. (Scheme 64): Identifying Air Intake Actuator And Blower Motor Connector
- Remove the blower unit installation nuts. (Scheme 65): Identifying Blower Unit Installation Nuts With Torque Specifications
- Pass the blower unit projection between the brackets shown in the figure (1) and rotate the blower unit (2). (Scheme 66): Removing Blower Unit
- Pull out the blower unit in the direction of the arrow (3).
- Remove the blower unit.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (Scheme 67): Locating Blower Unit
