1. PRECAUTION NOTE: After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work. Refer to «PRECAUTION [03/2012 - ]».
2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - ]».
3. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 9»
4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 33»
5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Refer to «PRECAUTION [03/2012 - 07/2012]». NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to «INITIALIZATION [03/2012 - 07/2012]».
6. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 34»
7. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 35»
8. REMOVE BATTERY. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 36»
9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 11»
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - 07/2012] - Step 38»
11. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY Disconnect the starter connector. Turn back the terminal cap, remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire. Remove the 2 bolts and starter.
