Note. DTC B1278 sets when no communication is received from combination switch ECU for more than 10 seconds.
Disconnect combination switch 14-pin connector. see scheme 6 Disconnect power tilt/telescopic ECU 8-pin connector. see scheme 7 Disconnect luggage room junction block ECU 22-pin connector. (Scheme 21) Check continuity of Violet/Green wire between combination switch ECU connector terminal No. 9 and power tilt/telescopic ECU connector terminal No. 8. Check continuity of Violet/Green wire between combination switch ECU connector terminal No. 10 and luggage room junction block ECU connector terminal No. 2. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace combination switch ECU.
