INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT

  1. Refer to inspection procedure for CAN communication system. Refer to «SYSTEM DESCRIPTION»(ref-396655-S13852520692011050900000) .
  2. If the CAN communication malfunctions, the ECU cannot receive the current data from the ECM. However, reading the Data List as the first step of troubleshooting is effective to find malfunctions.
  3. The malfunction area can be checked using the BUS CHECK function of Techstream. Refer to «DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM»(ref-396655-S14818501412011050900000) .

Scheme 411: PROCEDURE
  1. INSPECT ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE (+B AND IG2 TERMINAL) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Value +B (A9-2)- Body ground Always 10 to 14 V IG2 (A9-10) - GND (A9-12) Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V OK --> CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS NG: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT ECU - BODY GROUND) Disconnect the active control engine mount ECU connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition GND (A9-12) - Body ground Below 1 ohms Reconnect the active control engine mount ECU connector. NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT ECU - BODY GROUND) OK --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT ECU - BATTERY)
