DTC P0507: IDLE CONTROL SYSTEM RPM HIGHER THAN EXPECTED Kia Rio I рестайлинг

Note. Before performing any diagnostic test, refer toWARNINGS, CAUTIONS and NOTES in DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .

Note. Testing individual components does not isolate shorts or opens. Perform all voltage tests using a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter Meter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance, unless stated otherwise in test procedure. Use ohmmeter to isolate wiring harness shorts or opens.

Diagnostic Aids

Malfunction code will set when engine actual idle speed is 120 RPM or more, lower than target idle speed for 10 seconds. Check for following possible problems

  1. Short between Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and Engine Control Module (ECM).
  2. Air leak in intake system.
  3. Improperly adjusted accelerator cable.
  4. Faulty IAC valve.
  5. Faulty Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
  6. Faulty Positive Crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve.
  7. Faulty Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV).
