DTC P0460: FUEL LEVEL UNIT NO CHANGE OVER MILES Jeep Cherokee II рестайлинг

Note. DTC P0460: FUEL LEVEL UNIT NO CHANGE OVER MILES is monitored with engine running and fuel level is less than 15 percent or more than 85 percent capacity. DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) if PCM senses low fuel for more than 120 miles, or high fuel level that does not change by at least 10 percent for more than 100 miles. Possible causes are: defective fuel level sensor, defective connectors or defective wiring.

  1. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read and record FUEL LEVEL SENSOR voltage. If voltage is less than .4 volt, perform DTC P0462: FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT VOLTS TOO LOW test. If voltage is .4 volt or more, go to next step.
  2. Ensure ignition is on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read and record FUEL LEVEL SENSOR voltage. If voltage is more than 9.4 volts, perform DTC P0463: FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT VOLTS TOO HIGH test. If voltage is 9.4 volts or less, go to next step.
  3. Ensure ignition is on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read and record FUEL LEVEL SENSOR voltage. If voltage is 5.0-9.4 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not 5.0-9.4 volts, go to step 6).
  4. Turn ignition off. Add 5 gallons of fuel to fuel tank. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read FUEL LEVEL SENSOR voltage. If voltage decreased at least .2 volt, go to next step. If voltage did not decrease at least .2 volt, replace fuel level sensor. Fuel level sensor is located in fuel pump module, in fuel tank. Perform TEST VER-2A.
  5. Turn ignition off. Visually inspect related connectors and wiring harness for damage. Repair connectors and wiring harness as necessary. Perform TEST VER-2A. If connectors and wiring harness are okay, go to next step.
  6. Ensure ignition is on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read FUEL LEVEL SENSOR voltage. If voltage is .4-2.0 volts, test is complete. If voltage is not .4-.2.0 volts, condition required to set DTC is not present at this time.
