DTC P0108: MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH Jeep Cherokee II рестайлинг

Note. DTC P0108: MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH is monitored when engine speed is more than 416 RPM but less than 3520 RPM, Throttle Position (TP) sensor voltage is less than 1.13 volt and battery voltage more than 10.4 volts. DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when PCM senses Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor voltage is more than 4.88 volts for 2.2 seconds with engine running. Possible causes are: defective MAP sensor, defective PCM, defective connectors or defective wiring.

  1. Start engine and allow it to idle. Using scan tool, read MAP sensor voltage. If voltage is more than 4.6 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 4.6 volts or less, go to step 8).
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor connector. (Схема №23) Clean and/or repair connector as necessary. Connect a jumper wire between ground and MAP sensor connector, sensor ground circuit (Brown/Yellow wire). Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read MAP sensor voltage. If voltage is less than one volt, repair open sensor ground circuit. Perform TEST VER-5A. If voltage is one volt or more, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Ensure MAP sensor connector is still disconnected. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on MAP sensor connector, signal circuit (Dark Green/Red wire). If voltage is more than 5.5 volts, repair signal circuit for short to voltage. Perform TEST VER-5A. If voltage is 5.5 volts or less, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition off. Ensure MAP sensor connector is still disconnected. Connect a jumper wire between MAP sensor connector, signal circuit (Dark Green/Red wire) and sensor ground circuit (Brown/Yellow wire). Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, read MAP sensor voltage. If voltage is less than one volt, replace MAP sensor. Perform TEST VER-5A. If voltage is one volt or more, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition off. Ensure MAP sensor connector is still disconnected. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between MAP sensor connector, signal circuit (Dark Green/Red wire) and 5-volt supply circuit (Orange wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair signal circuit for short to 5-volt supply circuit. Perform TEST VER-5A.
  6. Turn engine off. Ensure MAP sensor connector is still disconnected. Disconnect PCM connectors. PCM is located in engine compartment. See PCM LOCATION table under SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS. Clean and/or repair connectors as necessary. Using ohmmeter, check resistance of MAP sensor connector, signal circuit (Dark Green/Red wire) between MAP sensor and PCM. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open signal circuit. Perform TEST VER-5A.
  7. At this time, PCM is assumed to be defective. Replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-5A.
  8. Start engine and allow it to idle. Wiggle MAP sensor connector and wiring harness while monitoring MAP sensor voltage. (Схема №23) If voltage goes to more than 4.6 volts while wiggling connectors and wiring harness, repair connectors and wiring harness where wiggling caused voltage to change. Perform TEST VER-5A. If voltage stays at 4.6 volts or less, go to next step.
  9. Turn ignition off. Visually inspect related connectors and wiring harness. Repair connectors and wiring harness as necessary. Perform TEST VER-5A. If connectors and wiring harness are okay, test is complete.
