FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove left side engine cover to gain access to fuel line Schrader valve. Remove Schrader valve cap. Ensure bleed valve on fuel pressure gauge is fully closed. Connect fuel pressure gauge and bleed valve to fuel line Schrader valve.
- Position end of fuel pressure gauge hose in a suitable container to catch fuel. Turn fuel pressure gauge bleed valve to fully open to relieve fuel pressure. Remove fuel pressure gauge and install Schrader valve cap.
CAMSHAFTS
Note. Engine No. 1 cylinder must be positioned at Top Dead Center (TDC) prior to removal and installation of camshafts.
CYLINDER HEAD
Note. Ensure gasket surfaces, threaded holes and gasket are clean and free of oil.
BEARING SELECTION
Note. Bearing replacement information for S-Type equipped with 3.0L V6 is not available. If crankshaft bearing replacement is necessary manufacturer recommends replacing engine.
