DTC P0117 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR Honda Accord V

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check ECT. If 302°F (150°C) or more is not indicated, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires at 14-pin connector (located on right shock tower), ECT sensor connector, and ECM connector. (Схема №6)
  2. If 302°F (150°C) or more is indicated, disconnect ECT sensor connector. Using scan tool, check ECT. If 302°F (150°C) or more is indicated, replace ECT sensor. If 302°F (150°C) or more is not indicated, turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM connector "D".
  3. Check for continuity between ECT connector terminal No. 2 (Red/White wire) and body ground. If there is continuity, repair short in Red/White wire between ECT sensor and ECM connector terminal D7. If there is no continuity, substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original ECM.
