WHEN MONITORED

Ignition on and ETC motor is not in the Limp Home Position.

SET CONDITION

When the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects an internal error or a short between the ETC Motor (-) and ETC Motor (+) circuits in the ETC Motor Driver. One trip fault. ETC light is flashing.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the APP Sensor 1 input voltage is below the minimum acceptable value. Acceleration rate and Engine output are limited. One trip fault and the code will set within 5 seconds. ETC light is flashing

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1 input voltage is above 4.73 volts for 0.08 seconds.

With the ignition on, battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts, and no Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1 and Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 2 DTCs present.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the correlation between APP Sensor 1 and APP Sensor 2 is not plausible. Idle may be affected when the brake pedal is pressed or if a brake switch circuit error is present. Acceleration rate and engine output are limited. One trip fault and the code will set within five seconds. ETC light is flashing.

With the ignition on, battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts, and no other Throttle Position Sensor DTCs present (P0121, P0122, P0123, P0221, P0222, P0223).

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the Throttle Position Sensor voltages are not plausible for 0.13 seconds. One trip fault and the code will set within five seconds. ETC light is illuminated.

APPS 1 has failed to achieve the required maximum value during In-Plant testing. One trip fault and the code will set within five seconds. Engine will only idle.

APPS 2 has failed to achieve the required maximum value during In-Plant testing. One trip fault and the code will be stored within five seconds. Engine will only idle.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that a large vacuum leak has been detected and calculated MAP is less than actual MAP minus an offset value for more than 0.28 seconds. One trip fault.

The coolant temperature should change at a specific rate. If this rate is too slow or too fast this fault will set. One trip fault. Three good trips to clear MIL.

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is greater than 70°C (158°F), Engine run time of 90 seconds, engine RPM 1000 - 2700, engine load 30 - 90% and in flex fuel vehicles the Fuel Adaptive Learned must be completed.

DTC P113D is not set and the high frequency content of the O2 sensor exceeds a calibrated amount. Two Trip Fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.

With the engine running for more than 90 seconds, in closed loop fuel control, the odometer greater than the minimum mileage allowable for catalyst break-in (499.7 miles), and no global or monitor conflicts or disabling conditions present. The diagnostic monitor will only run during a decel fuel shutoff event, and will only run once during each ignition cycle.

If during the decel fuel shutoff event, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the sensor does not transition from rich to lean, the fault will set. An active fault is matured on a second trip failure. Three good trips will turn off the MIL.

No global or monitor conflicts or disabling conditions present. During a decel condition, fuel shut off event after the following conditions have been met

Upstream O2 Sensor in closed loop

Engine run time greater than one minute

Engine coolant temperature above 65°C (149°F)

Engine speed above 2016 RPM

Vehicle speed above 88.5 kph (55 mph)

Catalyst temperature between 600°C and 800°C (1112°F and 1472°F)

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the downstream O2 Sensor does not transition from rich to lean. Two trip fault. Three good trips will turn off the MIL.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the Brake Switch and the Accelerator Pedal are both pressed for a calculated amount of time. One trip fault and the code will be set within five seconds. ETC light will illuminate, the light will only stay illuminated while DTC is active.

CUSTOMER PRESSING ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THEN PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL, AND CONTINUES HOLDING THEM DOWN SIMULTANEOUSLY
