Check

Check the new stop (brake) light switch to ensure

1. that the white locking sleeve is pulled out towards the tip of the stop (brake) light switch as far as it will go.
2. that the catches are not in contact with the white locking sleeve.

Note. Brake pedal must be depressed.

1. Connect the connector.
2. Install stop (brake) light switch. Check location of switch in bracket.
3. Press stop (brake) light switch into place. There is a distinct click when the catches engage with the bracket.
4. Remove pedal jack.

1. Carefully pull up brake pedal to its highest position. The stop (brake) light switch will then adjust itself automatically.
2. Shake (do not pull) the stop (brake) light switch lightly and check that it is secure.

1. Check that the stop (brake) lights is working.
2. In cars with automatic transmission and shift-lock, check that shift-lock is working.
3. Reinstall soundproofing.
