Scheme 255: Install The EGR Components

Install

  1. The EGR module using a new gasket at the connection pipe to the exhaust manifold.
  2. the 2 M10 screws. Tighten the screws until mating.
  3. the 1 M8 screw on the rear edge of the cylinder head. Tighten.
CAUTIONDo not tighten the screws so as to prevent tension in the rear mounting.

Tighten the M10 screws in the front edge of the cylinder head.

Install

  1. the coolant hoses from the EGR cooler
  2. the 1 screw clamp. Tighten.
  3. the 1 disposable clamp

Fit the clamp between the EGR cooler and the connection pipe to the exhaust manifold. Tighten.

Insert the 1 M6 screw to the brace of the fuel rail.

Install the intake manifold.

Tighten the hose clips.

Install

  1. the throttle body using a new gasket
  2. the 4 M6 screws of the throttle body. Tighten.

Plug in the connector of the throttle body and EGR mixer.

Plug in the connector of the EGR cooler's bypass valve.

Install the hose on the throttle body and tighten the hose clip.
