Draining Fuel System
- Remove cover from release valve positioned on fuel rail.
- Connect Adapter (999 5484) to Fuel Draining Unit (981 2270, 981 2273 and 981 2282). (Схема №49)
- Connect adapter to valve on fuel rail. Set in locked position. Start fuel drainage unit.
- Unlock adapter.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove cover from valve cap at fuel filter. Connect Venting Hose (999 5480) to valve ahead of fuel filter.
- Fuel drain procedure takes approximately 2 minutes.
- Install components in reverse order when fuel system is drained. DO NOT forget to reinstall valve caps.
- Drain fuel system. See «DRAINING FUEL SYSTEM»(ref-91297-S13781706122003082900000) .
- Remove cover from fuel rail. Disconnect injector electrical connectors. Use compressed air to clean around injectors.
- Remove fuel rail mounting screws.
- Separate fuel line quick-release connector.
- Spray universal oil or equivalent around injector seats on intake manifold. Pull fuel rail and injectors straight out to loosen. Do not work them loose from side to side. Handle injectors carefully to avoid damage to nozzles and needles.
- Remove screws holding mounting rail to fuel rail. Lift out mounting rail.
- Gently pull fuel injector(s) up and out of intake manifold.
- Lubricate injector "O" rings with a thin layer of petroleum jelly. NOTE: A new fuel injector MUST be used if nozzle separates from the injector.
- Install the new injector.
- Position mounting rail. Injectors may need to be pulled away from fuel rail a few millimeters to install mounting rail. Tighten screws holding mounting rail to fuel rail.
- Press fuel rail into place. Ensure that all injectors sit correctly. Use NEW screws to tighten fuel rail into place. Tighten to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-91297-S02836150372001030700000) .
- Press quick-release connector together until a clicking sound is heard. Connect all electrical connectors to the injectors.
- Reinstall cover on fuel rail. Start engine. Check for fuel leakage.
