Removal & Installation (Forester, Legacy & Outback)
- Remove top of trim panel gusset cover. Remove door pull handle screws and window regulator handle. Using Clip Puller (925580000), remove retaining clips surrounding door trim panel. Remove trim panel.
- Disconnect power mirror switch harness connector. Release power mirror switch retaining tabs. Remove power mirror switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Impreza)
Remove top console cover. Remove center console trim face plate and slid over parking brake handle sufficiently to disconnect harness connector from switch. Release power mirror switch retaining tabs. Remove power mirror switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation
- Remove top of trim panel gusset cover. Remove door pull handle screws and window regulator handle. Using Clip Puller (925580000), remove retaining clips surrounding door trim panel. Remove trim panel.
- Carefully remove sealing cover so cover can be reused. Disconnect mirror motor harness connector. While holding mirror assembly to keep mirror from damaging body, remove mirror mounting screws. Remove mirror and harness from body. To install, reverse removal procedure.
