  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE DSL) Disconnect the transmission wire connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 (DSL) - Body ground 20°C (68°F) 11 to 13 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Component without harness connected (Transmission Wire) NG --> See step 3 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) Reconnect the transmission wire connector. Disconnect the ECM connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B33-79 (DSL) - Body ground 20°C (68°F) 11 to 13 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Front view of wire harness connector (to ECM) NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK --> See step 4
  3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE DSL Remove the shift solenoid valve DSL. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - Solenoid body 20°C (68°F) 11 to 13 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Component without harness connected (Shift Solenoid Valve DSL) Connect the battery positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid valve connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound. OK Valve moves and makes operating sound. NG --> See step 5 OK --> See step 6
