FLUID CHECK
Filling a front axle to the bottom of the fill hole will result in an over fill condition. This can cause fluid foaming which will result in inadequate lubrication to the axle components. To check axle fluid, park vehicle on a level surface. Take a piece of wire (or pipe cleaner) and make a 90 degree bend two inches from the end of the wire. Insert the wire into the fill plug hole and use it like a dipstick. Remove the wire and measure from the 90 degree bend to the oil level. Refer to Specifications for the correct measurement.
