Circuit Description

PCM monitors Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve pintle position sensor to ensure valve is responding to commands from PCM.

Conditions required to set DTC are

1. EGR feedback is less than 0.14 volt at any time.
2. EGR feedback is 0.4 volt greater or less than EGR closed valve pintle position when desired EGR position is commanded to 0 percent.
3. Actual EGR position is 10 greater or less than EGR desired position.
4. Listed condition present for longer than 20 seconds.
