Preliminary operation
Remove the multifunction switch
WarningThe adjusting plate (1) on the automatic gearbox must never be removed, as if it is the correlation between the automatic gearbox selector position and the electrical reading cannot be guaranteed
(2) multi-function switch selector shaft seal
Removing
Position the tool [1] on the selection shaft
Using the rod fastening nut (3), tighten a little to engage the tool in the seal (2)
Remove the nut (3)
Tighten the bolt [1a] to push the tool well into the seal (2 threads engaged)
Tighten the nut [1b] to extract the seal
Refitting
Fit the new seal on to the tool [2]
Position the tool [2] on the selection shaft
Using the nut (3), which secures the rod, tighten until fully home
Remove the tool [2]
Complementary operation(s)
Refit the multifunction switch
