How to Replace the Inlet Pipe, Coolant Pump Opel Vivaro A

Remove

1. 1. Release resonance chamber (3) with ducting hose from air cleaner cover, then move to one side • Release strap (1) from support bracket (2)

2. 2. Drain cooling system – see operation “Cooling System, Drain and Refill”
3. 3. Remove lower coolant hose (2) from inlet pipe (1) • Release clip (3) • Drain remaining coolant into fluid collecting container
4. 4. Remove fluid collecting container

Note. Observe the relevant environmental requirements when disposing of used coolant.

5. 5. Release power steering pipe from engine • Remove bolt (1)

6. 6. Release inlet pipe from engine • Remove bolt (1)

7. 7. Remove inlet pipe (1) from connector for coolant pump • Rotate to release seal, then pull off – Withdraw through auxiliary housing • Remove O ring

Install

8. 8. Install new inlet pipe (1) to connector for coolant pump • Install new O ring – Push on

9. 9. Secure inlet pipe to engine • Install bolt (1) 10 Nm

10. 10. Secure power steering pipe to engine • Install bolt (1) 21 Nm

11. 11. Install lower coolant hose (2) to inlet pipe (1) • Secure clip (3)

12. 12. Bleed cooling system – see operation “Cooling System, Drain and Refill”
13. 13. Install resonance chamber (3) with ducting hose to air cleaner cover • Secure strap (1) to support bracket (2)

14. 14. Secure coolant hose (1) to support clip (2) of resonance chamber

15. 15. Raise vehicle
16. 16. Check for leaks
17. 17. Install engine undershield to vehicle
18. 18. Lower vehicle
