How to Replace the Coolant Heater Assembly Opel Vivaro A

Remove

  1. 1. Disconnect 4x harness connector (1) from coolant heater assembly • Pull off

Note. Observe colour coding of 4x harness connector (1) to ensure correct location on refitting.

  1. 2. Disconnect 2x coolant hose (1, 2) from coolant heater assembly • Release 2x clip • Install 4x suitable blanking plug

Note. Collect any escaping coolant. The blanking plugs are installed to minimise coolant loss.

  1. 3. Release bracket (1) and coolant heater assembly from engine lifting eye (2) • Remove nut, bolt (3)
  1. 4. Remove coolant heater assembly from bracket • Secure bracket to soft-jawed vice • Remove 2x bolt

Install

  1. 5. Install new coolant heater to bracket • Install 2x bolt
  2. 6. Secure bracket (1) and coolant heater assembly to engine lifting eye (2) • Secure nut, bolt (3)
  1. 7. Connect 2x coolant hose (1, 2) to coolant heater assembly • Remove 2x blanking plug • Secure 2x clip
  1. 8. Connect 4x harness connector (1) to coolant heater assembly • Push fit

Note. Ensure correct location of 4x harness connector.
