How to Replace the Engine Damping Blocks Opel Senator B

Engine Damping Blocks, Replace

Disconnect battery.

Detach line for power steering from fastening clamps (arrows).

Attach engine to Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B.

Remove left and right vibration dampers from bracket (1).

Loosen fastening bolt (2) and swing vibration damper to one side.

Remove left and right engine damping blocks from front axle body (3).

Unbolt upper fastening nut of damping block from bracket.

Raise engine with Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B and remove damping block.

Insert damping block into mounting bore hole with stop pin (arrow).

Fix fastening nut (4).

Insert heat shield on exhaust manifold side-note installation position.

Lower engine and install damping blocks free of tension.

Mount engine vibration damper on bracket.

Tightening torques:

Engine damping block to bracket - 40 Nm/29.5 lbf. ft.

Engine damping block to front axle body - 40 Nm/29.5 lbf. ft.

Use new nuts.

Engine vibration damper to engine damping blocks bracket - 40 Nm/29.5 lbf. ft.

Engine vibration damper to front axle body - 22 Nm/16 lbf. ft.

Remove engine lifter KM - 263 - B.

Attach line for power steering (arrows).

Connect battery.

Check battery for perfect condition and firm seat.
