Control Valve

The actual position of the wobble plate depends on the relationship between the housing inner pressure and the sum of the individual pressures in the six compression chambers. If both pressures are equally large, the wobble plate position does not change and the output of the compressor remains the same.

As the pressure on the high pressure side of the compressor remains more or less constant, the attack angle of the wobble plate can only be adapted to the required supply output by a change in the housing inner pressure. To this end, the control valve is located on the rear side of the compressor.

The control valve is diaphragm - regulated via the intake pressure. lt connects the high pressure side with the crank chamber.

If the intake pressure becomes higher than the atmospheric pressure and the spring force, the control valve closes.
