Engine/transmission Bearing
A " N eutral T orque A xis engine suspension (NTA engine suspension)" known from Astra�G is featured in all engine versions in the Corsa�C.
The transmission of noises and vibrations into the passenger compartment is optimally reduced by the use of the NTA engine suspension.
The load change responses of the engine are absorbed by a reaction member (rubber bearing) in the rear area of the front axle body.
The petrol engine Z 14 XE with the manual transmission F 13 and the turbo diesel engines Y 17 DT and Y 17 DTL have an additional front reaction member.
The engine/transmission is supported via two conventional rubber bearings:
- at the engine timing side, the rubber bearing is bolted vertically onto the frame side member at the top right.
- the second rubber bearing is secured on the left of the frame side member and is bolted vertically to the transmission casing.
