DOHC Petrol Engine 1 illustration ~101 words

Since the dimensions (diameter, length) of the new camshaft sensor that will be used from MY 2005 onwards are different, the corresponding aperture in the timing case is different too. The new timing case, from SHW, can be recognised by the new part number 55 556 308 whereas the timing case installed in MY 2004 and made by the same company has the part number 24 469 095.

1New timing case made by SHW with a larger diameter and higher mounting for the camshaft sensor.2Old SHW timing case - note the smaller diameter and flatter camshaft sensor mounting.
