How to Remove and Install the Alternator Opel Astra H

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach earth connection from earth terminal – Slacken nut
3. 3. Detach ribbed V-belt
4. 4. Disconnect alternator from power supply • Disconnect alternator from power supply – Unscrew 2x nuts (1) and (2)
5. 5. Remove alternator • Unscrew 2x bolts (3) and (4)

Install

6. 6. Install alternator • Tighten 2x bolt 35 Nm
7. 7. Attach wiring harness to alternator • Tighten 2x nuts
8. 8. Install ribbed V-belt
9. 9. Connect battery • Attach ground connection to ground terminal – Tighten nut
10. 10. Programme transient memory
11. 11. Close bonnet
