How to Remove and Install the Intercooler Opel Astra G

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery
3. 3. Detach oil leak hoses (1) and (2) • From intercooler – 2 clips

4. 4. Raise vehicle • Half height
5. 5. Remove front panelling • 4 fastening bolts (2) and (4), 5 clips (1) and (3) • 1 wiring harness plug

6. 6. Remove impact absorber • 6 fastening bolts

7. 7. Remove intercooler (2) • 2 fastening bolts (1) • Remove from bracket (3)

Install

8. 8. Attach intercooler • Mount in bracket • 2 fastening bolts
9. 9. Fit impact absorber • 6 fastening bolts
10. 10. Fit front panelling • Fit external temperature sensor • 4 bolts, 5 clips
11. 11. Lower vehicle • Half height
12. 12. Fit charge air hoses • To charge air cooler – 2 clips – Tightening torque 3.5 Nm

Important. The slot (1) must engage with the projection (2)

13. 13. Connect battery
14. 14. Programme transient memory
15. 15. Close bonnet
