Inspection in Auto Active Test

When auto active test is actuated, the following operation sequence is repeated 3 times.

Operation sequenceInspection locationOperation
1Front wiperLO for 5 seconds --> HI for 5 seconds
2Parking lamp License plate lamp Tail lamp Front fog lamp10 seconds
3HeadlampLO for 10 seconds -->HI ON <==> OFF 5 times
4A/C compressor (magnet clutch)ON <==> OFF 5 times
5Cooling fanLO for 5 seconds --> MID for 3 seconds --> HI for 2 seconds

Scheme 80: Concept of Auto Active Test
  1. IPDM E/R starts the auto active test with the door switch signals transmitted by BCM via CAN communication. Therefore, the CAN communication line between IPDM E/R and BCM is considered normal if the auto active test starts successfully.
  2. The auto active test facilitates troubleshooting if any systems controlled by IPDM E/R cannot be operated.

Note. The details of time display are as follows. CRNT: A malfunction is detected now. PAST: A malfunction was detected in the past. IGN counter is displayed on FFD (Freeze Frame data). The number is 0 when is detected now. The number increases like 1 --> 2... 38 --> 39 after returning to the normal condition whenever IGN OFF --> ON. The number is fixed to 39 until the self-diagnosis results are erased if it is over 39.
