Lower Arm Ball Joint Breakaway Torque
After shaking the ball joint stud several times, Use Preload Socket (MB991006) to measure the breakaway torque of the ball joint. (Scheme 1) If the breakaway torque of the ball joint is not within 0-35 INCH lbs. (0.0-3.9 N.m), if the ball joint is difficult to turn, or if does not turn smoothly, replace the lower arm assembly.
