Operation Test

1. Carry out the "Idle Air Control Inspection". (See Idle Air Control Inspection .) If not as specified, perform the further inspection for the IAC valve.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the IAC valve connector.
3. Measure the resistance between the IAC valve terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the IAC valve. (See «INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178035-S05090727282005061000000) .) If as specified but the Operation Test is failed, carry out the "Circuit Open/Short Inspection". Resistance 8.69-10.56 ohms

1. Disconnect the PCM connector. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2. Connect the SST (104 Pin Breakout Box) with the PCM disconnected.
3. Tighten the connector attaching bolt. Tightening torque 3.0-5.4 N.m {30-56 kgf.cm, 27-48 in.lbf}
4. Inspect the following wiring harnesses for open or short circuit (continuity check).
