IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE INSPECTION

Note. Perform the following test only when directed.

INTAKE MANIFOLD COMMUNICATION CONTROL (IMCC) ACTUATOR INSPECTION

Note. Perform the following test only when directed.

Scheme 135

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the IMCC actuator connector.
3. Remove the IMCC actuator. (See «INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-178035-S05090727282005061000000) .)
4. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal A and ground to terminal B.
5. Verify that the IMCC actuator operates. If not specified, replace the IMCC actuator. If as specified, carry out the "Circuit Open/Short Inspection"

Scheme 136

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the PCM connector. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Connect the SST (104 Pin Breakout Box) with the PCM disconnected.
4. Tighten the connector bolt. Tightening torque 3.0-5.4 N.m {30-56 kgf.cm, 27-48 in.lbf}
5. Check the following wiring harnesses for open or short (continuity check).
