Scheme 1: NEUTRAL SWITCH INSPECTION [MZR 2.5]
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581638-S19258420632013101400000).)
  2. Disconnect the neutral switch connector. (See «NEUTRAL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [G66M-R]»(ref-581632-S40821957942013101400000).)
  3. Remove the neutral switch. (See «NEUTRAL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [G66M-R]»(ref-581632-S40821957942013101400000).)
  4. Inspect for continuity between neutral switch terminals A and B. (Scheme 1): Identifying Neutral Switch Connector Terminals If not as specified, replace the neutral switch. (See «NEUTRAL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [G66M-R]»(ref-581632-S40821957942013101400000).)

Scheme 2: POWER STEERING PRESSURE (PSP) SWITCH INSPECTION [MZR 2.5]
  1. Inspect the following if the power steering is inoperative: (See «POWER STEERING FLUID INSPECTION»(ref-581622-S21572714412013101400000).) Power steering fluid level Power steering fluid leakage Power steering fluid pressure
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581638-S19258420632013101400000).)
  3. Disconnect the PSP switch connector.
  4. Reconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581638-S19258420632013101400000).)
  5. Start the engine.
  6. Inspect for continuity between PSP switch terminal A and body ground. (Scheme 2): Identifying PSP Switch Terminal Connector Terminals If not as specified, replace the PSP switch. (See «POWER STEERING OIL PUMP DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581622-S20661539962013101400000).)

Scheme 3: MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581638-S19258420632013101400000).)
  2. Remove the plug hole plate. (See «PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581643-S18902301812013101400000).)
  3. Disconnect the MAP sensor connector.
  4. Remove the MAP sensor. (Scheme 3): Identifying MAP Sensor, Intake Manifold And Screw With Torque Specification
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 4

Scheme 4: MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR INSPECTION [MZR 2.5]
  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2. (Scheme 4): Identifying DLC-2
  2. Switch the ignition to ON.
  3. Verify that the MAP sensor output voltage (PID: MAP) within the specification. (See «ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR 2.5]»(/mazda/6/gj-2012-2015/remont/testing-diagnostics/#on-board-diagnostic-engine-control-system-mzr-25).) (See «PCM INSPECTION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581641-S02967527962013101400000).) If not as specified, replace the MAP sensor. (See «MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5]»(ref-581641-S36160098322013101400000).)
