- Disconnect the selector lever component connector. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the rear console. (See «REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S12913222402013101400000).) Disconnect the selector lever component connector. (Scheme 1311): Selector Lever Component Connector
- Remove the selector lever component. Disconnect the selector cable from the selector lever component. (Scheme 1312): Selector Cable Remove the selector lever component. (Scheme 1313): Selector Lever Component And Nuts With Torque Specification
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the aerodynamic under cover NO.2. (FS5A-EL) (See «AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S19487724012013101400000).)
- Remove the rear console. (See «REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S12913222402013101400000).)
- Remove the dashboard. (See «DASHBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S23273769092013101400000).)
- Remove the A/C unit. (See «A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581666-S35905141042013101400000).)
- Remove the SAS control module. (See «SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581610-S09754629802013101400000).)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Remove the negative battery cable.
- Remove the rear console. (See «REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S12913222402013101400000).)
- Shift the selector lever to the P position.
- Unlock the lock piece of the selector cable (selector lever side) in the order as shown in the figure. (Scheme 1315): Lock Piece And Safety Lock
- Verify that the manual shaft is in the P position. (Scheme 1316): Manual Shaft In P Position
- Lock the lock piece and safety lock of the selector cable (selector lever side) in the order as shown in the figure. (Scheme 1317): Lock Piece And Safety Lock

Scheme 1318: SELECTOR LEVER INSPECTION
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Perform the following procedures to inspect the selector lever. If there is any malfunction, adjust the selector cable. (See «AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581689-S41787927862013101400000).) Verify that the selector lever can be operated as shown in the figure. (Scheme 1318): Selector Lever Operation Diagram Verify that the selector lever can be operated smoothly and moderately.
Shift-Lock System Inspection
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Shift the selector lever to the P position.
- Perform the following procedures to inspect the shift-lock system. If there is any malfunction, inspect the shift-lock solenoid. (See «SHIFT-LOCK SOLENOID INSPECTION»(ref-581689-S31593321102013101400000) .) Verify that the selector lever cannot be selected from P to R position when the brake pedal is released. Verify that the selector lever can be selected from P to R position when the brake pedal is depressed.

- Disconnect the selector lever component connector. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the rear console. (See «REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S12913222402013101400000).) - According to the table, measure the voltage between selector lever component terminals and body GND. (Scheme 1320): Identifying Selector Lever Component Connector Terminals If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the related wiring harness. Scheme 1321: Emergency Override Button Inspection
- Switch the ignition to off.
- Verify that the selector lever is in the P position.
- Without the brake pedal depressed, verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from the P position.
- Remove the panel cover using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver as shown in the figure. (Scheme 1321): Removing Panel Cover Using Tape-Wrapped Flathead Screwdriver
- Insert the flathead screwdriver into the emergency override hole and push it down.
