  1. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain LH. OK SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 2 (SSA+) and negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (SSA-) Rear curtain raises Battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 1 (SSA-) and negative (-) lead to terminal 2 (SSA+) Rear curtain lowers HINT: To prevent the motor from burning out, stop operation as soon as the rear curtain is fully raised or lowered. CAUTION: Be careful when the rear curtain raises and lowers. Something could get caught in the rear curtain and cause an injury.

Measure the voltage between the terminals when the switch is operated. HINT: As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.   4. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY Remove the integration control and panel assembly (see «REMOVAL»(ref-349723-S41495230852009120800000) ). Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Install the 10 screws. for Long Body: Install the rear curtain. Connect the connector and attach the 4 clips to install the curtain. Install the 10 screws.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See «INITIALIZATION»(ref-349706-S07943075812009120800000) ).
  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY Remove the front seat (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349741-S20172361262009120800000) ).
  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type) Remove the rear seat (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349741-S36365163922009120800000) ).

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate. Using a molding remover, detach the 4 clips. Detach the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.
  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Detach the 3 claws and remove the cowl side trim board.
  9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  10. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Detach the 2 clips from the vehicle body. Cut off clip A. Detach the claw and remove the front pillar garnish. Remove clip A from the vehicle body. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly. Completely cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration. NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
  11. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate. Using a molding remover, detach the 3 clips. Detach the 7 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate.
  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  14. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH LH Detach the 2 claws and 6 clips, and remove the center lower pillar garnish.
  15. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  16. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH LH Remove the 2 screws. Detach the claw. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center upper pillar garnish, and remove the center upper pillar garnish.
  17. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  18. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER LH Detach the 6 claws of the cover, and slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
  19. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH Detach the 6 claws and remove the rear seat side garnish.
  21. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  22. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH Pull the garnish away from the body and detach the 4 clips (do not detach clip A). Detach the 2 claws of the guide, and pull the inner roof side garnish in the direction of the arrow to remove it. HINT: Clip A remains attached to the body. Remove clip A from the vehicle body.
  23. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  24. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the 2 covers. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the 2 screws. Using a molding remover, detach the 2 clips. Disconnect the 2 connectors and then remove the map light.
  25. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY Using a molding remover, detach the 4 claws. Disconnect the connector and then remove the spot light.
  26. REMOVE REAR VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the vanity light on the other side. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the lens. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the 2 screws. Using a molding remover, detach the claw. Disconnect the connector and then remove the vanity light.
  27. REMOVE COAT HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler) HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the hook on the other side. Remove the screw and coat hook.
  28. REMOVE ROOF SIDE REGISTER BEZEL LH (w/ Rear Cooler) Remove the screw. Detach the claw and remove the roof side register.
  29. REMOVE ROOF SIDE REGISTER BEZEL RH (w/ Rear Cooler) HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  30. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY HINT: Use the same procedure for all the assist grips. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Detach the 2 clips and remove the assist grip.
  31. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side. Using a molding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.
  32. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  33. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH HINT: Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  34. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the holder on the other side. Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration. Detach the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE w/o Sliding Roof: Apply double-sided tape to the areas of the roof headlining as shown in the illustration. Align the wire harness marking of the roof wire with the front part of the roof headlining (A), and apply tape {width: 8 mm (0.314 in.)} to fix the roof wire in place. Remove the peeling paper of the double-sided tape, and place the roof wire on the roof headlining along the wire harness marking areas. Fix the roof wire in place by applying vinyl tape to the wire harness marking areas of the roof wire as shown in the illustration. For areas near connectors, apply the vinyl tape as shown in the part of the illustration labeled (A). Attach the 2 claws to install the bulb holder. HINT: Use the same procedure to install the bulb holder on the other side. w/ Sliding Roof: Apply double-sided tape to the areas of the roof headlining as shown in the illustration. Align the wire harness marking of the roof wire with the front part of the roof headlining (A), and apply tape {width: 8 mm (0.314 in.)} to fix the roof wire in place. Remove the peeling paper of the double-sided tape, and place the roof wire on the roof headlining along the wire harness marking areas. Fix the roof wire in place by applying vinyl tape to the wire harness marking areas of the roof wire as shown in the illustration. Align the wire harness marking of the roof wire with the front part of the roof headlining (A), and apply tape {width: 8 mm (0.314 in.)} to fix the roof wire in place. Remove the peeling paper of the double-sided tape, and place the roof wire on the roof headlining along the wire harness marking areas. Fix the roof wire in place by applying vinyl tape to the wire harness marking areas of the roof wire as shown in the illustration. For areas near connectors, apply the vinyl tape as shown in the part of the illustration labeled (A). Attach the 2 claws to install the bulb holder.   36. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System) Connect the connector. Attach the 4 claws to install the spot light.

INSTALL ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) w/o Infrared Rays Sensor: Connect the connector, and then attach the 6 clips and 2 claws to install the roof console box. w/ Infrared Rays Sensor: Connect the 2 connectors, and then attach the 6 clips and 2 claws to install the roof console box. Install the 2 screws.
  38. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT LENS (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) Attach the 4 claws to install the spot light lens.
  39. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Connect the 2 map light connectors. Attach the 2 clips to install the map light. Install the 2 screws. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 covers.
  40. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH Install a new clip A to the inner roof side garnish. Attach the 5 clips and 2 claws to install the inner roof side garnish.

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Using a molding remover, detach the 8 clips and claw. Remove the finish panel.
