DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Put protective tape around the front bumper. Remove the 8 screws. Detach the clip and remove the bumper seal bracket. HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides. Detach the 6 claws and disconnect the front bumper as shown in the illustration. HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides. Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors and remove the front bumper. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System: Disconnect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and remove the front bumper.
  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER Remove the energy absorber.
  16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT Disconnect the cooler thermistor connector. w/ Air Suspension: Remove the height control cleaner from the reinforcement. w/ Headlight Cleaner System: Detach the headlight cleaner hose clamps. Remove the 6 bolts and reinforcement.
  17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER Remove the lower absorber.
  18. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CROSSMEMBER Remove the 3 clips. Remove the 4 bolts and lower crossmember.

  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER PAD LH (for AWD) Clean the front bumper surface. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper surface. Standard STANDARD REFERENCE CHART Item Specified Condition Front bumper 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) NOTE: Do not heat the front bumper excessively. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner. Install a new bumper pad. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the bumper pad. HINT: After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter. Install the bumper pad to the front bumper.
  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER PAD RH (for AWD) HINT: Use the procedure described for the LH side.
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (See «INSTALLATION» ).

  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH Install the bumper bar reinforcement with the 2 screws.
  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH HINT: Use the procedure described for the LH side.
  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH Attach the claws to install the retainer. Install the screw.
  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH HINT: Use the procedure described for the LH side.
  5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Install the radiator support opening cover with the 2 clips.
  6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CROSSMEMBER Install the lower crossmember with the 4 bolts and 3 clips. Torque: 25 N*m (255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf)
  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER Install the lower absorber.
  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT Install the reinforcement with the 6 bolts. Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) Connect the cooler thermistor connector. w/ Air Suspension: Install the height control cleaner to the reinforcement. w/ Headlight Cleaner System: Attach the headlight cleaner hose clamps.
  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER Install the energy absorber.
  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Connect the 2 fog light connectors and install the front bumper. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System: Connect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and install the front bumper. Attach the 6 claws to the connect the front bumper, as shown in the illustration. HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides. Install the bumper seal bracket and attach the clip. HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides. Install the 8 screws.
  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH Position the groove on the 2 pin hold clips vertically and insert the 2 clips to install them. NOTE: Make sure that the groove on the pin hold clip is positioned vertically.
  12. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH HINT: Use the procedure described for the LH side.
  13. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH for 2WD: Install the extension pad with the 3 screws. for AWD: Install the extension pad with the 6 screws.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER Put protective tape around the rear bumper assembly. Using a clip remover, remove the 6 clips. Remove the 6 screws. Detach the clip and remove the bumper seal bracket. HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. Detach the 10 claws and disconnect the rear bumper as shown in the illustration. HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side. Detach the 8 claws and remove the rear bumper as shown in the illustration. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System: Disconnect the No. 3 floor wire connector.
  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER Remove the energy absorber.
  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR Remove the bumper bar from the energy absorber.
  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT LH Detach the 6 claws and remove the bumper arm reinforcement.
