Removal
Note. Take care not to scratch the center fascia panel and related parts. Eject all the disc before removing the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.

- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side cover (A). NOTE: Apply the protective tapes to crash pad garnish and its related parts.
- After loosening the crash pad lower panel mounting screws, then remove the lower panel (A).
- Remove the switch connector (A) and SSB connector (B) from crash pad lower panel.
- Remove the crash pad garnish LH (A) after removing the screws.
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad garnish RH (A). NOTE: Apply the protective tapes to crash pad garnish and its related parts.
- Remove the instrument cluster fascia panel (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the center fascia lower panel (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the connectors (A) and hose (B).
- Remove the center fascia upper panel (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the audio assembly (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
- Disconnect the audio connectors and cable (A), then remove the audio unit completely. NOTE: Lift the connector locking clip to the arrow direction, disconnect the connector. When assembling, install the connector and connector locking clip tightly. NOTE: If the CD does not eject, do not attempt to remove it because the audio unit may be damaged. Contact an authorized dealership for assistance.
Installation
- Connect the audio unit connectors and cables.
- Install the audio unit.
- Install the center fascia upper panel.
- Install the heater control unit.
- Install the crash pad garnish LH and instrument cluster fascia panel.
- Install the crash pad lower panel and side cover.
- Install the crash pad garnish RH.
Note. Make sure the audio head unit connectors are plugged in properly and the antenna cable is connected properly.

- Troubleshooting for Speaker Basic inspection of speaker Inspect the sound from speaker after verifying that the speaker mounting screws are removed and the wiring connector is connected to remove any possible vibration transmitted from body trims and surrounding parts. Case Troubleshooting No. Case Inspection/Remedy 1 Trembling sound Before replacing the speaker, assure that the speaker is securely fastened. Remove and re-install the speaker if needed to inspect mounting. If the trembling sound continues after checking the mounting, replace the speaker. 2 Noise Check for poor wiring connection. Repair if needed. If Static occurs with radio and CD, check the speakers. If static occurs only with the radio, check for antennas issues. NOTE: In case there is only radio static, this causes from poor radio reception. Thus the speaker needs no repair and replacement. 3 Speaker in operative Inspection of the wiring connection between the battery and the speaker Before replacing the speaker, check the wiring connections between the Audio/Amp Unit and the speaker. Attach a test speaker to the harness to check for a signal. Check the resistance of the speaker. • Specified impedance: 2 ~ 4ohms (Scheme 44): Checking Wiring Connection Between Battery And Speaker If the speaker is out of specification or has poor sound quality, replace the speaker. CAUTION: When handling the speakers: Do not damage the speaker with impact, like dropping or throwing it. Be careful not to drop water and oil on the speakers. Caution during handling of speaker because the material of diaphragm is paper which is easily torn by impact or external force. Modifying the audio system may cause damage the speakers. If this is the case, the speakers are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
- Install the roof antenna.
- Connect the connector.
- Install the rear roof trim.
- Connect the battery (-) terminal.

- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the driver airbag module. (Refer to the «AIRBAG HANDLING AND STORAGE»(ref-675111-S36250859792014120400000) )
- Remove the steering wheel. (Refer to the " «STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT»(ref-675062-S39430859222014120400000) ")
- Remove the steering wheel cover (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the steering wheel remote control switch connector (A) after loosening the mounting screws. [LH-Audio] [LH-Mute]
- Reassemble the steering wheel remote control switch after connecting the connector.
- Reassemble the steering wheel.
- Reassemble the driver airbag module.
Note. Make sure the audio remote control switch and the airbag module connectors are plugged in properly.
