DTC P1107: MAP SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT LOW VOLTAGE Isuzu Amigo II

Circuit Description

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor measures changes in intake manifold pressure (vacuum). A low voltage signal (about 2 volts), is sent to PCM at closed throttle (high vacuum). A high voltage signal (4 volts) is sent at wide open throttle (low vacuum).

Conditions required to set DTC are

  1. No TP sensor DTCs set.
  2. Engine is running.
  3. System voltage is more than 11 volts.
  4. TP ANGLE more than 1% with engine speed less than 1000 RPM.
  5. TP ANGLE more than 2% with engine speed more than 1000 RPM.
  6. MAP sensor intermittently indicates MAP below 11 kPa for approximately 5 seconds over a 16-second period.

Diagnostic Aids

Check for faulty connections or damaged harness. Observe MAP display on scan tool MAP while moving all related harnesses and connectors. A change in scan tool display indicates fault location. If DTC cannot be duplicated, check scan tool FAILURE RECORDS to determine mileage since last DTC was set.
