Note. For circuit reference (Схема №11)
Circuit Description
PCM monitors fuel tank vapor pressure sensor of the enhanced evaporative system. When fuel tank pressure output indicates high voltage, PCM will set DTC P0453.
Conditions required for setting DTC are
- Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor output is more than 4.9 volts for 12.5 seconds.
- 100 test failures within 200 tests.
Diagnostic Aids
Inspect all related wiring for open, short to voltage or short to ground condition. A fault in the 5-volt reference circuit could also set DTCs for TP and MAP sensors. DTC P0453 may be falsely set by a malfunctioning FTP sensor. If DTC P0453 cannot be duplicated, use information in the failure records data FREEZE FRAME information to determine vehicle mileage since DTC was last set and conditions present when DTC P0453 was set.
