Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface. Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

  1. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front door scuff tirm (A). [Front]
  2. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the rear door scuff trim (A). [Rear]
  3. Install in the reverse order of removal. Information Replace any damaged clips.

  2. Remove the hood latch release handle. Refer to «HOOD LATCH RELEASE HANDLE»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exterior-body-panels/#hood) .
  3. Slightly remove the front door body side weatherstrip.
  4. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the cowl side trim (A).
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal. Information Replace any damaged clips.

  2. Remove the rear door scuff trim. Refer to «DOOR SCUFF TRIM»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim) .
  3. Slighty remove the front door body side weatherstrip.
  4. Slighty remove the rear door body side weatherstrip.
  5. Remove the seat belt lower anchor cover (A).
  6. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the seat belt lower anchor (B). Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)
  7. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the center pillar lower trim (A).
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal. Information Replace any damaged clips.

  2. Remove the rear door scuff trim. Refer to «DOOR SCUFF TRIM»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim) .
  3. Slighty remove the front door body side weatherstrip.
  4. Slighty remove the rear door body side weatherstrip.
  5. To remove the locking mechanism (A), using a (-) driver (B) turn it counter clockwise. from the EFD (Emergency Fastening Device) system (C).
  6. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the center pillar lower trim (A).
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal. Information Replace any damaged clips.

  1. Push the second row seat towards the front of the vehicle as far as possible.
  2. Open the folding cable connector cap (A).
  3. Remove the folding cable connector (A) from the second row seat cable.
  4. Remove the third row seat. Refer to «REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/seats/#rear-seat) .
  5. Remove the second row seat. Refer to «REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/seats/#rear-seat) .
  6. Remove the rear door scuff trim. Refer to «DOOR SCUFF TRIM»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim) .
  7. Remove the rear transverse trim. Refer to «REAR TRANSVERSE TRIM»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim) .
  8. Slighty remove the rear door body side weatherstrip.
  9. Slighty remove the tail gate weatherstrip.
  10. Remove the second row seat belt lower anchor cover (A).
  11. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the second row seat belt lower anchor (B). Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)
  12. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the third row seat belt lower anchor (A). Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)
  13. Remove the seat remote folding housing (A).
  14. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the luggage side trim (A).
  15. Install in the reverse order of removal. Information Replace any damaged clips.
