DTC P0112/P0113 - INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) INPUT Hyundai Accent I

  1. P0112 - IAT Circuit Low Input
  2. P0113 - IAT Circuit High Input
  1. Install scan tool. Start engine and check if DTC P0112 or P0113 is present. If DTC is present, go to next step. If DTC is not present, problem is intermittent.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect IAT sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, check voltage between IAT sensor harness connector terminal No. 2 and ground. Voltage reading should be 4.8-5.2 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check circuit between terminal No. 2 and ECM. See appropriate wiring diagram in «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-16576-S33969347622000122900000) section.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Check for open in circuit between IAT sensor and ECM. Repair circuit as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  4. Reconnect IAT sensor and ECM harness connectors. Using DVOM, backprobe IAT sensor harness connector terminals No. 1 and 2. Turn ignition on. Check IAT sensor voltage. See IAT SENSOR TEMPERATURE-TO-VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS table. If voltage reading is as specified, go to next step. If voltage reading is not as specified, replace IAT sensor.
  5. Clear DTC. See «CLEARING DTC(S)»(ref-16576-S07254658492000122900000) . Retest system. If DTC resets, replace ECM.
