- P0112 - IAT Circuit Low Input
- P0113 - IAT Circuit High Input
- Install scan tool. Start engine and check if DTC P0112 or P0113 is present. If DTC is present, go to next step. If DTC is not present, problem is intermittent.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect IAT sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, check voltage between IAT sensor harness connector terminal No. 2 and ground. Voltage reading should be 4.8-5.2 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check circuit between terminal No. 2 and ECM. See appropriate wiring diagram in «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-16576-S33969347622000122900000) section.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Check for open in circuit between IAT sensor and ECM. Repair circuit as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Reconnect IAT sensor and ECM harness connectors. Using DVOM, backprobe IAT sensor harness connector terminals No. 1 and 2. Turn ignition on. Check IAT sensor voltage. See IAT SENSOR TEMPERATURE-TO-VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS table. If voltage reading is as specified, go to next step. If voltage reading is not as specified, replace IAT sensor.
- Clear DTC. See «CLEARING DTC(S)»(ref-16576-S07254658492000122900000) . Retest system. If DTC resets, replace ECM.
