1. Tilt the steering column down.
2. Remove these items: Driver's center panel (see «DASHBOARD CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S16005184032009072100000) ) Driver's dashboard lower cover (see «DRIVER'S DASHBOARD LOWER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S27385002872009072100000) )
3. Remove the instrument panel (A). Release the side hook (B). Gently pull the panel backward, and remove the clips (C, D).
4. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Upon installation, position the side hook first, then attach the clips. Push the clips and hook into place securely.

1. Adjust the steering column upward.
2. Open the front door, and remove the driver's dashboard side panel (A). Pull out the front door opening seal (B), as needed (see step 4 on «REAR DOOR SILL AREA»(ref-333585-S06776744912009072100000) ). Gently pry the front edge of the side panel with a trim tools to release the hooks (C), then remove the side panel.
3. Remove the left side of the driver's center panel (see step 1 on «DASHBOARD CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S16005184032009072100000) ).
4. Remove the driver's dashboard lower cover (A). Remove the screw. Pull out the bottom of the driver's dashboard lower cover to release the clips. Disconnect the switch connectors (B). VSA OFF switch connector Parking and back-up switch connector (for some models)
5. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure that the electrical connector and the air hose to the humidity/in-car temperature sensor are properly connected. If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

1. Grasp the middle of the center upper panel (A), and pull the panel towards the rear of the vehicle to detach all of the clips from the dashboard (B). Disconnect the center speaker connector (C) (for some models), then remove the center upper panel.
2. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure the center speaker connector is plugged in properly. If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

1. Remove the Driver's center panel (A). Shift the shift lever in to the N position. Starting at the top, gently pull the driver's center panel out to detach the clips (B), then pull the panel out to detach the remaining clips (C). Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector (D) and VTM-4 switch connector (E).
2. Remove the passenger's center panel (A). Starting at the top, gently pull the passenger's center panel out to detach the clips (B), then pull the panel out to detach the remaining clips (C). Disconnect the front accessory power socket connector (D).
3. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely. Make sure all connectors are plugged in properly.

2. Remove the center pocket (A). Remove the screws (B) and release the clips (C, D). Disconnect the center pocket light bulb socket (E) and seat heater switch connectors (F) (for some models). Disconnect the navigation control panel connectors (G) (with navigation). Without navigation system With navigation system
3. With navigation system: If necessary, remove the screws, then separate the center pocket (A) from the brackets (B) and the navigation switch panel (C).
4. Install the center pocket in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely. Make sure the connectors and bulb socket are plugged in properly.

1. Open the front door, and remove the passenger's dashboard side panel (A). Pull out the front door opening seal (B), as needed (see step 4 on «FRONT DOOR SILL AREA»(ref-333585-S26800557712009072100000) ). Gently pry the front edge of the side panel with a trim tool to release the hooks (C), then remove the side panel.
2. Remove the passenger's dashboard trim (A). Remove the hook (B). Pry out the side edge of the trim to detach the clips, then remove the passenger's dashboard trim. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

2. Remove the passenger's tray mat (A).
3. Remove the screws and detach the clips, then remove the passenger's tray (A).
4. Install the tray in the reverse order of removal, and if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

2. 3. Remove the parking brake lever bracket mounting screws, then lower the lever (A).
4. From the front of the dashboard, detach the harness clip (A).
5. Detach the harness clips (A) from the center portion of the dashboard. (Scheme 125): Identifying Harness Clips
6. Remove the screws securing the dashboard (A).
7. With an assistant holding the dashboard (A) up, detach the dashboard wire harness clips (B) from the right side of the dashboard duct, then carefully remove the dashboard through the front door opening.
8. From the back of the dashboard (A), remove the screws, then remove the dashboard duct (B) from the dashboard.
9. From the back of the dashboard (A), remove the screws, then remove the dashboard defroster duct (B) from the dashboard. (Scheme 129): Identifying Dashboard & Defroster Duct
10. Install the dashboard in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Before tightening the screws, make sure the dashboard wire harness is not pinched. Make sure the dashboard fits onto the guide pins correctly. Replace the passenger's airbag mounting bolts and nuts with new ones. Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(ref-333608-S13381695222009072100000) ). Check for any DTCs that may have been set during repairs, and clear them.

3. Remove the parking brake lever mounting bolt and screw, then lower the lever (see step 3 on «DASHBOARD REPLACEMENT»(ref-333587-S26684108782009072100000) ). Driver's side
4. Disconnect the roof wire harness connector (A) and detach the harness clips (B).
5. From under the dash, disconnect the driver's door wire harness connectors (A), the floor wire harness connector (B), the right engine compartment wire harness connectors (C), the left engine compartment wire harness connectors (D), and the parking brake switch connector (E) from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box (F), and then release the wire harness clips (G). 6. Disconnect the SRS unit connectors A and B from the SRS unit (see «SRS UNIT REPLACEMENT»(ref-333646-S35013431342009072100000) ). Disconnect the A/C sub-harness connectors (C), the floor wire harness connector (D), the AC inverter connector (E), the GPS antenna (F), the HandsFreeLink control unit connector (G), and the USB control unit connector (H), then detach the harness clips (I). 7. Disconnect the RES connector (A) (with rear entertainment system) and the roof wire harness (B), then detach the clips (C) from the passenger's side A-pillar (D).
8. From under the dash, disconnect the passenger's door wire harness connector (A), the right engine compartment wire harness connectors (B), the floor wire harness connectors (C), and if equipped, the stereo amplifier connectors (D).
9. Remove the bolts securing the lower portion of the dashboard hanger beam.
10. Open the passenger's door, and remove the special bolts (A, B). Remove the caps (C). Loosen the special bolts until they disengage from the threads on the hanger beam side bracket (D). Continue loosening the bolts until they engage the inside threads of the collar bolts (E). The thread lock on the special bolts makes the special bolts and collar bolts turn together. Continue to loosen the special bolts to turn the adjusting nuts into the sleeves (F) until the nuts engage the stops (G). This creates a gap (H) between the adjusting nuts and the body. Loosen the special bolts to disengage them from the collar bolts. Remove the special bolts.
11. Check that the adjusting nuts (A) are seated in the space adjusters (B). Insert an 8 mm hex wrench in the adjusting nut. Gently turn the wrench counterclockwise. If the wrench turns easily, continue turning until the adjusting nut seats and engages the stop (C). If the wrench does not turn easily, the adjusting nut is seated. NOTE: If either adjusting nut was not seated, replace the special bolts. (Scheme 137): Identifying Driver's Door Caps With Torque Specifications
12. Open the, and remove the caps (A), then remove the bolts (B, C). see scheme 42: Identifying driver's door (A), then remove the bolts (B, C)
13. Lift up on the dashboard (A) to release it from the guide pins (B, C). (Scheme 138): View Of Dashboard
14. Carefully remove the dashboard through either front door opening. NOTE: Do not rest the dashboard on its lower center cover opening, or it may be damaged. Lay it on its front or back.
15. Install the dashboard in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure the dashboard fits onto the guide pins correctly. Before tightening the bolts, make sure the wire harnesses are not pinched. Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly. Make sure the adjusting nuts (A) turn easily by hand in the fixed space adjusters (B). Tighten the adjusting nuts by hand until they engage the stops (C) before reinstalling the dashboard. Before reinstalling the dashboard, screw the special bolts (D) into the collar bolts and check that they turn together. If they do not turn together, replace the special bolts. After setting the dashboard in the body, reinstall all of the mounting bolts but do not tighten them. First tighten the driver's side bracket bolts to the specified torque. Next, loosen the special bolts to turn the collar bolts out of the fixed space adjusters until the collar bolts contact the body. Then tighten the special bolts to the specified torque. Tighten all remaining mounting bolts to the specified torque. After tightening both side brackets, mounting bolts, tighten the center frame mounting bolts. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(ref-333608-S13381695222009072100000) ). If necessary, adjust the shift cable (see «SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-333568-S08470393912009072100000) ). Check for any DTCs that may have been set during repairs, and clear them.
