Glove Box Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the passenger's dashboard undercover (see «PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S10832152972009072100000) ).
  2. Remove the bolts, then remove the glove box (A).
  3. While holding the glove box (A), release the glove box stops (B) on each side from the dashboard by pushing them in, then remove the glove box.
  4. Install the glove box in the reverse order of removal.

Glove Box Striker Replacement

Scheme 102: Glove Box Striker Replacement
  1. Remove the glove box (see «GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S08268234282009072100000) ).
  2. Remove the bolt (A) and the screws (B), disconnect the glove box light bulb socket (C), then remove the glove box striker (D).
  3. Install the striker in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the glove box light bulb socket is connected securely.

  1. Remove the glove box (see «GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S08268234282009072100000) ).
  2. Remove the screws, then remove the glove box handle (A) from the glove box (B).
  3. Remove the glove box lock cylinder (A). Release the hooks (B), then remove the glove box cylinder cap (C). Pull one end of the retainer (D) out of the slot with a hook-shaped tool, then remove the lock cylinder.
  4. Reinstall the lock cylinder reverse order of removal.

Scheme 105: Passenger's Dashboard Undercover Removal/Installation
  1. Remove the Passenger's dashboard undercover (A). Gently pull down the rear edge to detach the clips. Pull the undercover away to release the pins (B) from the holders (C).
  2. Install the undercover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Make sure the pins of the undercover are installed securely to the holders. Push the clips into place securely.

Column Cover Removal/Installation

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch or damage the column covers. Do not pry on the cover surfaces with any tools.

  1. Adjust the steering column so that it is fully tilted down and fully extended.
  2. Turn the steering wheel to a position where the column cover screws can be seen, then remove the screws from the front side of the column cover (A).
  3. Release the hooks (A), then remove the upper column cover (B).
  4. Remove the three screws (A, B, C), then remove the lower column cover (D).
  5. Install the upper and lower column cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Push the hooks and tabs into place securely. Before tightening the screws, make sure the wire harnesses are not pinched.

Column Blind Cover Removal/Installation

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the column covers. Do not pry the cover surface with any tools.

  1. Remove the column cover (see «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-333587-S09044343762009072100000) ).
  2. Remove the screws, then remove the blind column cover (A).
  3. Install the column blind cover in the reverse order of removal, and make sure the wire harness are not pinched before tightening the screws.
