FAST IDLE OUT OF SPECIFICATION

  1. Check idle adjusting screw setting.
  2. Check Idle Air Control (IAC) valve for proper operation.
  3. Check fast idle valve for proper operation.
  4. Check Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor circuit for short circuit to power or ground.
