Driver's Seat
Note. SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or servicing.
Scheme 194
- Remove the driver's seat (see «FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seats-v6__front-seat-removalinstallation) ).
- Lean the seat-back and disconnect the connector A (4P) and connector B (2P) from the seat heaters.
- Check for continuity between seat heater connector A (4P) terminal No. 2, and seat heater connector B (2P) terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
- If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat wire harness.
- Check for continuity between seat heater connector B (2P) terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.
- If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat-back heater (see «SEAT HEATER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seat-heaters-v6) ).
- Reconnect seat heater connector B (2P) to the seat-back heater.
- Check for continuity between seat heater connector A (4P) terminals No. 2 and No. 3, and terminals No. 3 and No. 4. There should be continuity.
- If there is no continuity, replace the seat cushion heater (see «SEAT HEATER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seat-heaters-v6) ).
Front Passenger's Seat
Note. SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or servicing.

- Remove the front passenger's seat (see «FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seats-v6__front-seat-removalinstallation) ).
- Disconnect the connector A (4P) from the seat cushion heater.
- Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3 and terminals No. 4 and No. 3. There should be continuity.
- If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater (see «SEAT HEATER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seat-heaters-v6) ).
Seat Cushion Heater
Note. SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or servicing.
Scheme 196
- Remove the seat cushion cover (see «FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seats-v6__front-seat-cushion-cover-replacement) ).
- Carefully remove the seat cushion heater (A) from the seat cushion pad (B). NOTE: The seat cushion heater is glued to the seat cushion pad. When removing it, take care not to damage the seat cushion pad.
- Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
Seat Back Heater
Note. SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or servicing.

- Remove the driver's seat back cover (see «FRONT SEAT-BACK COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seats-v6__front-seat-back-cover-replacement) ).
- Carefully remove the seat back heater (A) from the seat back pad (B). NOTE: The seat back heater is glued to the seat back pad. When removing it, take care not to damage the seat back pad.
- Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

- Remove the center console panel (see «CENTER CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#consoles-v6__center-console-panel-removalinstallation) ).
- Disconnect the 6P (or 7P*) connector from the seat heater switch, then remove the switch. *: Front passenger's seat heater switch
- Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. NOTE: Make sure the correct test lead (+ or -) is placed on the terminal. When checking for continuity across the diode, use the diode setting () on the digital volt/ohm meter to check the diode bias. Note this important operating characteristic; diode bias causes a diode to fully conduct electricity in one direction (forward), while not at all in the opposite direction (reverse).
- If the continuity is not as specified, remove the screws and replace the switch.
- Install the switch in the reverse order of removal.
