  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  2. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 160 kPa (47.1 inHg, 1, 197 mmHg), or 4.49 V or more indicated? YES - Go to step 3. NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  4. Disconnect the MAP sensor 3P connector.
  5. Connect MAP sensor 3P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3 with a jumper wire.
  6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  7. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 160 kPa (47.1 inHg, 1, 197 mmHg), or 4.49 V or more indicated? YES - Go to step 8. NO - Go to step 18 .
  8. Remove the jumper wire from the MAP sensor 3P connector.
  9. Measure the voltage between MAP sensor 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 14 . NO - Go to step 10.
  10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  11. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  12. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector B (49P).
  13. Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector terminal B34 and MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 3. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 25 . NO - Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM (B34) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 20 .
  14. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  15. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  16. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector B (49P).
  17. Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector terminal B35 and MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 25 . NO - Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM (B35) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 20 .
  18. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  19. Replace the MAP sensor (see «MAP Sensor Replacement»(ref-512332-S14325956212012103100000) ).
  20. Reconnect all connectors.
  21. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  22. Reset the ECM/PCM with the HDS.
  23. Do the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure (see «ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(ref-512362-S04299387872012103100000) ).
  24. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0108 indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
  25. Reconnect all connectors.
  26. Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software (see «ECM/PCM Update»(ref-512332-S15795428962012103100000) ), or substitute a known-good ECM/PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM/PCM»(ref-512356-S00793962012012103100000) ).
  27. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0108 indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM. If the ECM/PCM was updated, substitute a known-good ECM/PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM/PCM»(ref-512356-S00793962012012103100000) ), then recheck. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, go to step 1 . NO - If the ECM/PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, replace the original ECM/PCM (see «ECM/PCM Replacement»(ref-512332-S08907075282012103100000) ). If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
