  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  2. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 3 kPa (1.0 inHg, 26 mmHg), or 0.23 V or less indicated? YES - Go to step 3. NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  4. Disconnect the MAP sensor 3P connector.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  6. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS. Is about 3 kPa (1.0 inHg, 26 mmHg), or 0.23 V or less indicated? YES - Go to step 12 . NO - Go to step 7.
  7. Measure the voltage between MAP sensor 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 16 . NO - Go to step 8.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  9. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  10. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector B (49P).
  11. Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector terminal B36 and MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 23 . NO - Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM (B36) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 18 .
  12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  13. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  14. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector B (49P).
  15. Check for continuity between MAP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short in the wire between the ECM/PCM (B35) and the MAP sensor, then go to step 18 . NO - Go to step 23 .
  16. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
  17. Replace the MAP sensor (see «MAP Sensor Replacement»(ref-512332-S14325956212012103100000) ).
  18. Reconnect all connectors.
  19. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
  20. Reset the ECM/PCM with the HDS.
  21. Do the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure (see «ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(ref-512362-S04299387872012103100000) ).
  22. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0107 indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
  23. Reconnect all connectors.
  24. Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software (see «ECM/PCM Update»(ref-512332-S15795428962012103100000) ), or substitute a known-good ECM/PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM/PCM»(ref-512356-S00793962012012103100000) ).
  25. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0107 indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAP sensor and the ECM/PCM. If the ECM/PCM was updated, substitute a known-good ECM/PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE ECM/PCM»(ref-512356-S00793962012012103100000) ), then recheck. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, go to step 1 . NO - If the ECM/PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, replace the original ECM/PCM (see «ECM/PCM Replacement»(ref-512332-S08907075282012103100000) ). If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
