Checking the limit position

Check that the window reaches its upper limit position.

Does the window reach its upper limit position?

1. YES Refer to «Checking components and wiring»(ref-406837-S26205503152011070100000)
2. NO Refer to «Checking the window controls»(ref-406837-S37702934972011070100000)

Check that fuse 11C/35 or 11C/36 in the passenger compartment integrated relay / fusebox is intact.

Check the cable between control module terminal #4B and the power window motor #3. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the cable between control module terminal #3B and the power window motor #6. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the cable between control module terminal #16A and the power window motor #4. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the cable between control module terminal #19A and the power window motor #1. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the cable between control module terminal #7B and the battery. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.

Check the cable between control module terminal #5B and ground: Left or right front seat support. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.

Replace the cable if a fault is found.

1. Ignition on
2. Try to operate the window lift mechanism to its limit positions (manually and automatically).

4. After checking all wiring (and replacing faulty wiring), pass a current across the motor and check that it operates
