Interior - Removal, Replacement and Installation: Removal & Installation Volvo V70 II

Remove

  1. side panel according to «Side panel»(ref-406997-S37198505752011070100000) .

  1. three connectors.
  2. two tie straps (2).

  1. a tie strap.
  2. three screws.

Lift control panel straight up.

Remove control panel.

In reverse order.

Scheme 177: Removing the Drive Shaft For Height Adjustment

Remove the motor for height adjustment. See Height Adjustment Motor, Front and Height Adjustment Motor, Rear .

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the bushing and the bearing (felt).

Note. Be careful with the bushing.

Unscrew and remove the drive shaft with the rack.

Note. Ensure that the gears do not move during the operation. There is a risk of function failure and increased wear.

Remove the Seat Or the Cushion/Backrest

  1. Remove the relevant seat or the cushion/backrest. See «Lifting the front seats in and out»(ref-406997-S15373479402011102400000) or «Rear Seat Assembly»(ref-406997-S12621743352011070100000) .
  1. height adjustment motor, rear according to «Height adjustment motor, rear»(ref-406997-S05957684682011070100000) .
  1. four screws.

  1. one screw.

In reverse order.

  1. the armrest. See «Armrest»(ref-406997-S28485167742011070100000) .

Open the Velcro strip/trim (mug holder).

Open the zip fastener (armrest).

Pull off upholstery.

Note. Do not forget to reuse the thin cover.

In reverse order.

  2. Remove one screw from each bracket.
  3. Lift out the armrest.
