REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Note. For removal and installation procedures not covered in this article, see MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS - V70 article.
Ensure ignition is off. Remove radio. Position hand in radio compartment opening and remove ECC control module by pushing it out from behind. (Scheme 4) Disconnect ECC control module electrical connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Remove glove box. Remove soundproofing panel behind glove box. Turn outside temperature counterclockwise and pull out. see scheme 2 Disconnect outside temperature sensor connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
- Remove ECC control module. See «ECC CONTROL MODULE»(ref-139466-S06829146162002050100000). Insert hand through control module opening and detach switch next to passenger compartment temperature sensor. see scheme 3 Press out switch from behind.
- Insert hand through ECC control module opening and detach passenger compartment temperature sensor by pressing together locking clips by hand. Pull out passenger compartment temperature sensor. Disconnect passenger compartment temperature sensor electrical connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Remove glove box. Remove soundproofing panel behind glove box. Remove right knee bolster. Disconnect power unit electrical connectors. Remove power unit. see scheme 6 To install, reverse removal procedure.
Ensure ignition is off. Solar sensor is located in center of instrument panel. Carefully pry off solar sensor. see scheme 4 To install, reverse removal procedure.
