Install the valve housing assembly

Install

1. a new gasket
2. the valve
3. the screws. Tighten to 10 Nm
4. the connector
5. the upper timing cover.

Note. To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see Flanged joint, assembling .

Engine assembly with transmission, installing

Install lifting yoke 9992810 and lifting hooks 9995642 and 9995186 .

1. Adjust the lifting yoke so that the engine is balanced
2. Adjust the lifting hooks continuously throughout the lift
3. Install the screw and the nut on the engine mounting on the timing side.

Check the gear selector mechanism cables.

Install

1. the mechanical cables using clips on the brackets
2. the mechanical cables with washer and clips on the levers. Lubricate using grease 116 1241-3 .
