SERVICE INTERVALS
Check fluid every 7,500-10,000 miles. On severe usage (taxi, towing, etc.), change transaxle oil every 28,000 miles.
CHECKING FLUID LEVELS
Fluid should be up to bottom of fill hole. Use socket to remove fill plug (A). (Scheme 2) Clean strainer and magnet with solvent. Replace filter on fill plug. Install and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.

RECOMMENDED FLUIDS
Manufacturer recommends Volvo Synthetic Gearbox Oil (1161423).
DRAINING & REFILLING
Fill plug (A) and drain plug (B) are located on side of transaxle. (Scheme 2) Transaxle utilizes synthetic oil, and should normally never need changing. Manufacturer does not provide draining and refilling procedures.
